Mother's Day 2008

Happy Mother's Day To Me!!!

So this may not be the picture you all envisioned I would show of my Mother's Day, however I wanted to be honest...and this is the most honest picture ever!!!
My Mother's Day was quite an adventure!

What does this have to do with Mother's Day, you ask? Well, let me explain...

Sean went away for a week on business/to visit his mom, which was totally fine with me. BUT...I was not informed that I would be left with a slab leak to deal with!!! So, I ended up going for 4 days without water. I could only turn it on to flush the toilet or shower. It was great...I felt like a Pioneer back in the 1800's going out to the well to get water when I needed it! I also had to deal with 2 kids, one fed by g-tube and no water!!!! I thought the Lord had already tested my faith to the fullest, but I guess He would test me again to see how much I can handle!! That's okay though...I dealt with it (yes, I did complain a little), but we all came out alive, I still have faith, and I was able to show my hubby what a capable woman/mother/wife I am!

P.S. I have to give a shout out to my Dad...he really came through for me! I guess no matter how old I get, I'll always need my parents!!!

This picture represents the other part of the week. Along with the plumbing being gone, both the girls were sick! Hailey literally puked and pooped (liquid) about 20 times a day. I completely ran out of blankets and clothes for her...
No water = No laundry!!

Anyways, here's a picture of her right before one of her puking sessions. (Poor Baby.)

And this is after the session! Notice the nice, huge stain in the middle of the carpet! Kim was going to take her to the store and we literally changed her 4 times within a half hour! I have to say though, I was very impressed with Kim! She was up for the challenge and still took Hailey with her!!!

As all this was going on...Lexi gets stuck in between the couches!!!  Although she was freaking out, I had to grab my camera!
After all the drama...the day did turn out great!

Oh, and yep, she calls Patty my "granddaughter!" Just what I need!!!
