This year, due to Ava's pending arrival, our family was unable to take our annual Thanksgiving trip to Solvang. We are pretty bummed about it, because it's an absolute blast every time! So we decided to ease the pain with a family trip to the San Diego Zoo. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Here are a few of our adventures...
Believe it or not...this was on the way to the zoo! But, I could have taken this same exact picture on the way home too.
I really wanted a family picture by the palm trees. As you can see, Lexi took it quite literally.
We managed to move the trees aside and successfully get a picture!

Hailey wanted to give the gorilla a kiss. She must have had bad breath or something because he doesn't look too thrilled about it!
This is a special picture for a certain someone in our group...I will keep his name anonymous, but feel free to take your own guess as to who it's for.
So what is this? It's me, holding my mom's drink...to be more specific, Beer. She had a habit of handing me her drink to hold, which I finally had to put a stop to, due the weird looks I received as it rested alongside my huge, pregnant belly.
It looks like Kim took over holding (and maybe sipping) mom's drink!!
That's better.
Can't forget the two crazy lovebirds who started this whole wacky family.
