It's A ...

Yes...we do know what the baby is!!!

It was Thursday, June 26th. Lexi was at a friend's house (Thank you Laura!), and I was talking to my dear friend Sondra. She happened to ask me when I find out what the baby is and I happened to tell her they want to wait until at least 20 weeks because they have to do a 'Level 2' ultrasound so they can look for anything similar to what Hailey had. (The doctor expects all to be normal. Hailey's situation is not hereditary.) Anyways, Sondra then happened to tell me that she knew of a place that they can tell at 13 weeks, I was 15 weeks. So I made an appointment for an hour later, called Sean at work and told him to get his butt down there, and so the story goes...

I know you're probably thinking that I need to stop with the whole boring story and get to the point...

Soooooo....

It's a GIRL!!!
(I'm sure one day she'll totally appreciate me posting that picture!)

What is the picture below?
It's our baby already practicing her yoga!

If you look at it closely her head is on the left and her little bum is directly to the right. Curving up from her butt are her legs (That dark white line is her little femur!) You'll see where her knees are bent and her little feet are crossed over her head. (There's a black area between her shin and little feet...Oh my gosh, I so hope they're attached!!) Her little toes are the white dots directly above her head.
If you're not used to look at ultrasounds, it's kind of hard to see, but Lexi was MORE than willing to pose for me. So check her out below and then compare to this picture!

Lexi posing...Compare above.

(I'm sure if we could clearly see the baby's face, her smile would be just as big as Lexi's!!!)

Telling one set of grandparents!
Our tradition every baby is to wrap up a pair of shoes that they open to find out the sex.

We are so excited for another girl! At first we didn't really care either way what the baby was...as long as it was healthy. (Wow, do I mean that more than ever!!!) Anyways, having another girl will be a blast...plus Lexi is thrilled because she now gets her own room!!!

Now we need help with a name. The middle names are after family members...either Ann (after my Aunt Sal) or Helene (after both my grandmothers and sister's middle name.). So it's really just the first name we're trying to choose!

Please make sure to vote!

Wen,
I don't know about a first name...I like the name Peyton...but I wanted to put my vote in for the middle. Both your choices are great but I love Helene!

Yeah! Girls are great!!! I love ultrasound pictures...they are a very sentimental thing for me. I truly have never seen a baby with its feet up like that though...that is impressive! I have always loved the names Brynlei and Brielle, I wanted to use it for Alexa but we wanted keep with the "A" for all us girls. Before she was before we found several Hawaiin names that I thought were really pretty...but for some reason I can't recall them. I am one those that makes a list and brings it to the hospital so I can see which name "fits" my little person.

Clayton keeps saying, "When can I play with my oldest friend Lexi?" I think we need to plan a playdate!
